Chicks growing up

Just the other day we had a broody hen who hatched three eggs, but when I went across to see them this morning they haven't half grown.  Twice as big as they were - at least.  They're monsters.  Looks like two hens and a cockerel, but I'm not going to get too close to them as their Mum is quite fierce and pecks away at anything she can reach.  Not that I'm frightened of her mind you...just cautious.  Unlike Daisy, who is trying to get the chicks to play with her and spends ages lying watching them.  Skye keeps telling her to be careful but she listens to no-one when she gets an idea in her head

Anyway, the hens have been off their laying for the last few days.  I'll be pleased when they get back to it as we sometimes get a bit of boiled egg all chopped up when they're laying really well.  I don't think Skye is helping much to encourage them - if she can't see eggs, she wanders about the yard muttering loudly about giblets.  Come on girls...
